Summary. mTORQUE is designed as a local-first training app. Core training data is stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account for core use and does not operate a backend that receives your training log.

1. Controller and contact

Responsible for this website and the mTORQUE app:

Michael Behringer
Email: [email protected]

2. Website hosting

The mTORQUE website is hosted via Cloudflare Pages. When you visit the website, technical access data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, date and time of access may be processed to deliver, secure and monitor the website. This processing is necessary for the technical provision and security of the site.

3. App: local-first training data

mTORQUE stores training-related data locally on your device. This may include strength sessions, endurance sessions, exercises, sets, repetitions, loads, time, distance, pace, heart-rate values, routes and related training statistics. We do not operate an app backend that receives your training log.

4. Location data for outdoor tracking

If you use outdoor tracking, the app may process location data to record your route, distance, pace and elevation-related information. Location data is used for the active outdoor session and related local training history. Location permission is requested by the operating system and can be changed in Android settings.

5. Bluetooth heart-rate sensors

If you connect a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate sensor, the app processes the sensor connection and heart-rate values during training. This enables live display, session recording and heart-rate analysis. Bluetooth permissions are requested by the operating system where required.

6. Health Connect and step data

If you grant permission, mTORQUE can read step data via Android Health Connect. The app uses this data to display step-related information within the training context. Health Connect permissions are optional and can be managed in Android or Health Connect settings.

7. Background activity and foreground notifications

During active training sessions, mTORQUE may use Android foreground notifications to keep timing, GPS and/or heart-rate recording stable while the screen is off. These notifications indicate that an active training process is running.

8. Maps and route display

Outdoor routes may be displayed on map tiles provided by external map infrastructure. When map tiles are loaded, the tile provider may receive technical access information needed to deliver the map content. Route and training data remains part of the local app workflow unless you explicitly export or share it.

9. Import, export and sharing

If the app offers import, export or sharing functions, the data involved is processed according to the action you initiate. Exported files or shared content may contain personal training data. Please handle such files carefully.

10. Account, analytics and advertising

mTORQUE does not require a user account for core use. The current local-first app design does not depend on cloud synchronization of your training log. No advertising profile is created by the app for core training use.

11. Your choices

You can manage app permissions such as location, Bluetooth, notifications and Health Connect access in the Android system settings. You can delete locally stored app data by using Android app settings or deleting the app, subject to Android backup behavior and any files you have separately exported.

12. Contact

If you have questions about privacy or data processing in mTORQUE, please contact [email protected].
