This Privacy Policy applies to:
https://mtorque.app (the “Website”), andThe Website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare). To deliver the site and protect it from abuse, technical data is processed when you access the Website.
Categories of data (may include):
Purposes:
Legal basis (GDPR):
Recipients / processors:
Cloudflare acts as a service provider for hosting and delivery. Depending on infrastructure, data may be processed in various countries (including outside the EU/EEA). Cloudflare provides contractual safeguards for international transfers (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
As of the date above, we do not intentionally use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on the Website. If we add analytics or marketing technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, ask for consent.
If you contact us by email, we process your message and contact details to respond. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (handling your request) and/or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in communication).
The App is designed to store your training data locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts and do not run an app server that receives your training data.
Typical locally stored data (depending on your use):
If you grant permission, the App can read step data via Android Health Connect. Health Connect manages health data access and permissions on your device. The App uses steps to display and analyze your activity within the App.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) via OS permissions; where health-related data applies, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR (explicit consent).
If you use the outdoor tracking feature, the App processes your location (GPS) to record routes and calculate metrics such as distance and pace. Location processing is initiated by you and occurs as part of the requested feature.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) via OS permissions; where applicable in health context, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR.
For map display, the App loads map tiles from OpenTopoMap servers (via the osmdroid map library). When your device requests map tiles, the tile servers necessarily receive technical request data such as your IP address, request headers, and the specific tiles requested (e.g., z/x/y tile coordinates). Because tiles correspond to a geographic area, requested tiles may indirectly reveal approximate location.
OpenTopoMap tile endpoints used by the App:
https://a.tile.opentopomap.org/https://b.tile.opentopomap.org/https://c.tile.opentopomap.org/OpenTopoMap and related services may have their own terms and privacy information. If you prefer, you can avoid map display by not using the outdoor map feature.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (feature requested by you: map display) and/or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing map functionality).
The App includes the Android INTERNET permission to enable features such as loading map tiles and communicating with platform services
required for distribution and billing. We do not operate an app backend for collecting training data.
As of the date above, we do not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or comparable third-party analytics/crash reporting SDKs.
The App provides a user-initiated export function that can write your training and activity data into a spreadsheet file (e.g., XLSX) on your device. Export files are created at your request and remain on your device or chosen storage location.
Advertising may be added in a future version of the App. If and when ads are introduced, ad technology providers may process device identifiers and usage data to deliver ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. Before ads are enabled, we will update this Privacy Policy and adjust any required in-app disclosures and consent flows.
The App is distributed via Google Play. Google may process data as part of app distribution, integrity checks, and platform operations. If/when in-app purchases are enabled, Google Play Billing will process transactions. These processes are governed by Google’s policies and terms.
Because data is stored locally, you can delete App data by removing entries within the App (where available) and/or by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s storage via your device settings.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your training data with third parties via a dedicated app backend. However, depending on the features you use, technical data may be processed by:
App data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App (or clear storage). Website technical logs may be retained for limited periods for security and operational reasons.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed via the Website and App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
If the GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, contact: [email protected].
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features or legal requirements (e.g., introduction of advertising, analytics, or additional third-party services). The “Last updated” date indicates the current version.
